Parks & Recreation has many different beach and boat facilities that will surely meet your nautical needs! In a coastal community, the beach reigns supreme, and we take special care to offer some of the best facilities for you and your family to enjoy.
Come to the beach and the park all at once!
Little Island Park offers beach access for surfing, swimming and fishing and also has playgrounds, volleyball, basketball and tennis courts, picnic shelters and more right along the Atlantic coast!
Also, come and visit the 400-foot fishing pier.
Lynnhaven Boat Ramp & Beach Facility
The boat ramp features four concrete boat launch lanes with associated temporary mooring areas, a canoe/kayak launch area, car with boat trailer parking spaces, lighting, restrooms with shower and foot rinse areas, changing areas, car parking for beach access, an information kiosk, a public use AED, vending machine and ice sales, and a walkway (under the Lesner Bridge) to the Ocean Park Beach Area on the Chesapeake Bay.

This location offers beach access for swimming and fishing on the Chesapeake Bay. Lynnhaven MarinaWith easy and direct access to the Lynnhaven Inlet and Chesapeake Bay, Lynnhaven Municipal Marina offers a safe and convenient place to keep your boat. The marina offers 50 boat slips that are rented on an annual basis from July through June to both recreational and commercial boaters with craft 36 feet in length or less. offers a safe and convenient location to keep your boat with easy access to the Chesapeake Bay and the Lynnhaven Inlet. The marina offers 50 slips that are leased on an annual basis from July through June to both recreational and commercial boaters with craft 38 feet in length or less. For access to the North Landing River, head out to Munden Point Park to launch your boat, kayak or canoe. The park also offers kayak and canoe rentals along with traditional park amenities such as ball fields, basketball and volleyball courts, playgrounds, picnic shelters and a disc golf course.
